July 3rd, 2000 - Independence Day Sacramento ASA Protest Action Continues Federal Courthouse, 501 “I” Street, Sacramento, CA
This man was passing by and stopped to express his
support, proudly displaying a 4 inch solid gold Marijuana leaf alongside other symbols of religious faith. When asked his real name, "Jose" declined, stating "My
stepbrother is a Federal Judge, he told me not to join the protest or he would have me arrested."
At each change of the traffic signal a chorus of blaring horns can be heard
in this busy intersection. Even a passing Sacramento County Sheriff’s cruiser sounded his horn of support for States Rights!
Many thanks to protest organizers Amanda & Aundre’ for their persistence despite difficult circumstances,
including threats of arrest, and significant personal sacrifice. Supporters are encouraged to attend the next organizational meeting:
When: 7:30 PM, July 8th Where: Holiday Inn Capital Plaza, 300 “J” Street, Sacramento, Monterey Room, (2nd floor).
